Meet The Team
Pete is the owner of A Better You Fitness and Wellness. He has been in the fitness industry in some capacity for over 25 years. He has been at it full time since 2008.
In addition to running the business, he still makes time to train clients and teach classes. He is our certified tai chi instructor, and specializes in injury prevention, pre-surgical, post-rehab and elder training.
His top priority with every client is to help them find their inner athlete, while improving movement quality and posture and reducing pain.
In his own programming, he enjoys going heavy and hard, though that looks very different than it did when he was 25! (Hey, we have to respect the aging process, right?) In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa, a physical therapist and amazing wife and mother; his daughter Ellie (the musician) and his daughter Helene (the athlete.)
In 1998, Morgan saw her athletic career come to a screeching halt when she was cut from the Brewster Bayside Skippers at the tender age of 9. In 2015, she decided to give it another shot and started getting serious a bout her fitness.
She joined us as a freshly certified trainer in May 2017 and hit the ground running. She has loved navigating her way through her first couple of years of training and getting to know over 20 clients.
Her position here has allowed her to combine her passion for fitness with her passion for helping others achieve their goals. Her next goal is to complete her certification through Precision Nutrition to better assist her clients with their goals and needs.
In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking and experimenting with new food ideas and recipes, and spending time with family and friends.
Karen joined the staff of A Better You Fitness and Wellness during the winter of 2018. Her career as a fitness professional spans 20+ years. Karen has quite a diverse background which includes working as a fitness director in the club side of the industry, as well as running facilities for the UMASS system. Throughout this time, she has always maintained her personal trainer certificates, and has worked with clients in one-on-one and in larger group settings.
She brings a strong endurance and Pilates base to our team, and in the short time she has been with us, she has influenced our training for the better. It is her passion and goal to inspire her clients, helping them understand the tremendous value exercise will add to their lives, the remarkable, positive changes that will happen when they become stronger and healthier and ,most importantly, the overall feeling of well-being they will experience.
